Foam Surfboards Making Surfing Less Painful

No matter how experienced of a surfer you are, a face full of surfboard never feels good.  Also landing face first onto a surfboard does not feel good for any part of your body.  After a pretty bad wipeout, you can be pretty beat up or too discouraged to complete your session or call it a day.  No matter how good of a surfer you are, surfing in pain will limit your ability and not make you as good.

If you are just starting to learn how to surf, then you need foam surfboards to help cushion your fall.  The inevitable wipeouts are going to happen, especially on your first few tries, and nothing can discourage you from surfing more than getting beat up by your own board.  You can’t rely on your surfboard if you are afraid it’s going to cause you bodily harm at the same time.  It will totally hinder your performance and make you less adventurous to give it your all when learning.  With foam surfboards, you can go out there and give it your all without fearing your surfboard.  This will really help you make the most out of your practice sessions.

Even if you are a more experienced surfer, getting smacked in the face by your surfboard doesn’t hurt less just because you’ve been surfing longer.  Especially since you are constantly growing in experience, you don’t want to be hindered by your board when you want to be adventurous and try new tricks.  When you are feeling ballsy and want to go out there and try something new, make sure to bring along your foam surfboard.  This way if you don’t complete your new trick, you won’t have to pay the price with a busted nose or getting body slammed by your fiberglass or epoxy surfboard.  With a foam surfboard you can commit to your tricks without worrying that you will end up with a black eye.

Foam surfboards can help any surfer advance much faster since they know that the surfboard won’t hurt them as much as a regular surfboard will.  This safety and even just knowing this will make surfing a blast and we’ll all be better surfers with our foam surfboards.
