Stand Up Paddle Boards are Excellent Aerobic Exercise
 
Stand up paddle boards or SUP for short, are becoming increasingly popular among experienced and new surfers.  A stand up paddle board is basically a regular surfboard but the surfer stands up on it (hence the name), and has a paddle to work their way through the water and waves.  This fairly new sport is becoming increasingly popular as an additional way to do aerobic exercise.  Not only does it require a lot out of the surfer, but it is a fun way to exercise compared to your boring stationary bike or treadmill.

People are constantly trying to find new ways to do aerobic exercise.  It is actually very important to switch up your aerobic exercise because your body will adapt if you only do one style of aerobic exercise.  Since our bodies adapt, you won't see as much results as your first did if you just stick to one aerobic exercise. That is why you have to keep you body guessing, and it will definitely be guessing once you use stand up paddle boards.  They require a lot of upper body strength as well as strengthening your core muscles because you have to keep your balance.  It will be the best and most interesting way to get your aerobics done.  Think of what your friends will say when you tell them as aerobics you are out on stand up paddle boards out at the beach.  Plus you can't beat the view with stand up paddle boards while exercising, compared to the gym where all you get to see is the guy with sweaty pits in front of you.

Keep you body guessing with stand up paddle boards.  It definitely burns a lot of calories, and your body will thank you for it. When thinking about a stand up paddle board, don't get one too big because then you'll be spending a lot of energy trying to paddle yourself out there, but you also don't want to get one that is too small because trying to balance on that will kill your core muscles.  So if you're looking for a new way to get your aerobics out of the way, have fun while working out with standup paddle boards.
