Welcome to our Paddle Board section at Buyboardz! Whether you are an experienced paddle boarder, or just learning how, we have a paddle board for you here. Our wide selection of paddle boards, deck padding for your feet and paddles will get you ready for summer. You will need to know what length, width, and thickness you are looking for in a paddle board, as well as what kind of paddle you want to go with it.
First decide on the length for your new paddle board. We have paddle boards at the 10' 6, 11'0 and 12'0 lengths. If you are a beginner, you may want to start with the longest paddle board, because it will give you the most stability for paddling and gliding. If you are a paddle board veteran, then perhaps you would prefer the 10'6 board for maximum maneuverability.
The next element you should consider is width. Width is another determining factor in the stability you will have on the water. Widths vary between 27" to 31", so the width you choose should again be representative of your skill level. If you want a nice and easy glide, you may want to look at boards with a width between 29"-31". If you would like a little more maneuverability and you are an experienced paddle boarder, then a 27”- 28” wide board is for you.
Now it's time to think a little about the thickness of your new paddle board. There isn't a great deal of variation in our paddle board thicknesses, but it's still important. We offer paddle boards with a thickness between 4 1/2" to 4 3/4". We know, we know, only a quarter of an inch difference! But believe it or not, this may have an impact on your paddle boarding experience. For more stability, we would recommend the thickest board, and the thinnest for our veteran paddle boarders.
Now comes the really fun part! You get to pick your paddle. Say that 3 times fast! You can choose a paddle made of wood or carbon fiber. Wood is the obvious choice for new paddle boarders, because it's not only less expensive but it's the tradtional material for boarding paddles. Carbon fiber paddles are made for the expert paddle boarders, because novice surfers don't need a carbon fiber paddle to start with, and these are a bit more expensive. You will need to figure out the size paddle that you will need, and to do this you should add 6" to your overall height to get the correct paddle length.
So get ready to splash on out there and paddle board! You are "in the know" on everything paddle boarding, so take a look at our paddle boards and see which one you want to take out to the water. Remember to pick the right length, width, and thickness for your skill level and surfing needs, and pick the paddle that will work for you as well.
